Christ’s Church Albany bought a building!
We launched a multi-phase revitalization project and fundraising campaign to transform the historic Third Reformed Church into a community center.
As construction continues, we have an exciting timeline of events to share:
July 13 will be CCA’s first Sunday Service
Mid-July community partners move into the space
Grand Opening Event Fall 2025
Support our building fund.
Located at 8 Kate Street in Albany’s Delaware Neighborhood, this building will become a new community gathering space that will house multiple local nonprofits and serve as a neighborhood resource.
Together, the committed collection of nonprofit groups will serve critical local needs, such as education access, food security, mental and emotional health, family support, social belonging, improved neighborhood safety, and more.
Since taking possession of the building on March 1, 2025, over $250,000 has already been raised and invested in critical upgrades including new roofs, mold remediation, and basement drainage.
Every dollar has been stretched thanks to discounted rates and generous donations from contractors, partners and many volunteer hours on-site.
While the building holds enormous potential, we still have significant work ahead to make it a safe, welcoming, and fully functional.
We need an additional $300,000 to complete the renovations and bring the shared space vision to life.
Projects include:
Level the floor
Expand the main hallway and classrooms
New lights with installation
Bathroom renovations - more toilets needed
New classroom doors - preferred with windows
Re-pointing exterior brick
New ceiling with installation
New windows with installation
Carpet installation
New exterior signage with installation

The vision for the Love Albany Center calls for the building to be lively and bustling Monday through Sunday.
CCA has already engaged with multiple local organizations that intend to use the space to expand programming and provide resources.
Committed community partners include:
The Red Bookshelf
Free Food Fridge Albany
Wizard’s Wardrobe
Acting with Aaron
Encouragement & Enrichment Services
Upstate Cold Brew
Casa de Adoracion Albany
Love Albany & Serve Albany
Christ’s Church Albany welcomed over 200 community members on Sunday, May 18 at the new building.
The event offered tours of the Love Albany Center, conversations about the vision, engagement with the community partners, food and fellowship.
This is a big project and we cannot do it alone.
Make a contribution to the building fund and help bring this vision into reality.
